The Frac’s mediators welcome and support groups, through discussion and by answering questions. The different forms of mediation are conceived according to the exhibitions and the specific needs of visitors, and can be built and shared with guides. If desired, your group can also visit the building and the exhibitions independently.

Schoolchildren

Guided tours of the exhibitions, from preschool to high school.
Admission is free for school groups.

Higher education

Guided tours of the exhibitions for student groups and teachers.
The mediators of the Frac offer accompaniment adapted to your group and your expectations. Several kinds of tour can be designed in line with the exhibitions and the students’ specialisms. We recommend tailor-made tours, to be built and shared with guides. If desired, your group can also come and visit the building and the exhibitions independently.

Activity centers, after-school centers, childcare centers

Exhibition tours for children and adolescents during the week, on Wednesdays and during school holidays.
These tours offer children and youths the chance to actively discover the exhibitions through interaction and dialogue. They include experiments and manipulations of forms, objects, images and words. The mediation team is available to help group guides prepare their visit.

Social sector

Guided tours of the exhibitions for groups of children, adults and families. Social sector groups are admitted without charge.
The team is available to help group guides prepare a tour or develop a particular project. Exhibition presentations are also available to them. The Frac is a partner of Cultures du Cœur 13, Ensemble en Provence, and is part of the Vivre Ensemble Marseille initiative.

Disability and accessibility

During every exhibition, dedicated tours are offered to people with disabilities, either individually or in a group, by reservation with a mediator.
– Sensitive tours dedicated to blind and partially sighted persons, as well as to those with psychological or mental disabilities.
– Tours in French Sign Language for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
The team is available to help group guides prepare a tour or develop a particular project. Exhibition presentations are also available to them. All exhibition rooms are accessible to persons with disabilities. To make your visit more comfortable, the Frac also has chairs and a wheelchair, which can be requested at reception. The Frac is free to persons with disabilities and to those who accompany them.
